2025 Highlights - The 6th Dance Life Festival

The 6th edition of the Dance Life Festival was held on July 4 - 6 2025 in Nairobi, featuring performances by acclaimed movement artists from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, the DRC, and Switzerland, dance films from South Africa and Germany, and musical acts from Kenya, Uganda, and Mali.

About us

The Dance Life Festival was founded in 2020 to give Kenya’s rising dance scene a new professional platform to share, connect and reinvent the local dance practice. Since then we have organized six editions of the festival that has become one of the biggest international cultural events in East Africa. Our aim is to build an inclusive hub for the entire East African dance scene, creating more space to perform, collaborate, and develop new work.
